“connecting to colour, shape and feel”

The main connection to my art that I get inspiration from is primarily colour, shape and feel. I love looking at all the different colour shades, the unique shapes and feel that my beads have, or that I can create. Once I decide on the colour and shape then I focus on the design. I sometimes take note of other jewellery artists’ techniques and some design, then place my own spin on how the finished piece will look. Another amazing tool on the internet is to watch tutorials on up-and-coming trends. This method also helps to keep my techniques up to date.  I have on occasion challenged myself to combine two or three styles into one.
