Valerie Foster: Quilting on these hot days!

I am focused now on the quilting (threadwork) of several pieced tops I’ve completed this summer. On these hot, humid days, being in the basement studio is a very comfortable and colourful place to be. The quilts reflect my love of colour while bringing in aspects of the recent modern trends in quilting. I free motion quilt all of my projects now on a recently acquired mid arm machine. It has made this process even more enjoyable as I can see the quilt stitches develop while I move the machine across the width of the project.
