Pyrography
Aubre Scott (Piping Hot Pyro Studio) is an aspiring artist from Whitby, Ontario. Aubre began working with Pyrography in 2021 which instantly became her preferred way to create artwork. ‘Since discovering the art of pyrography, I have been in awe of the way that compositions can be created. It’s a very captivating form of art, both for the artist and the audience.’
She gathers inspiration from the local area as the scenery, landscapes, and wildlife species are so spectacular. ‘Cottaging in the Apsley area is very inspiring and allows me to incorporate local scenery and wildlife into a suitable subject matter that encompasses the natural world in Ontario as well as specific elements that can connect with our community in the North Kawartha Region.’
Aubre has had her art featured at the Station Gallery in Whitby, the Colborne Street Gallery in Fenelon Falls, as well as within local artisan shops around the North Kawarthas, Hastings County, and Bancroft.
When not in the studio, Aubre enjoys spending time at her family’s North Kawartha Residence and spends countless hours practicing her bagpiping. She competes in both solo and band competitions throughout the summer.
