Encaustics & Ceramics
“Born in Romania, Nina discovered her passion for art once she moved to Canada. A graduate of the Ryerson University Photography program, Nina started her career working mainly in mixed media—using wax, wood, metal, paper, and other materials. Her aim was to showcase movement, transparency, suggestive projections, all adding up to a multitude of visual and emotional effects. Each individual element, although it has its own substance and character, becomes a whole only when surrounded by others. Together they tell a story.
Since 2022 Nina has been playing with clay, working in a ceramic studio in Toronto. Her pottery work explores themes of destruction and fragility, of strength and materiality.”
I`m excited to have been invited by Dominique to participate in an informal and fun pop up ceramic show on the weekend of April 26 and 27, from 10 am to 5pm. The location is very conveniently located at 2586A Yonge Street, second level.
