Mosaics
Anja loves broken china, left over tile and bits of stained glass as they become the ingredients for her colourful, whimsical mosaics! Tiny bird shaped beads or flower buttons, ceramic cats or typewriter keys add intricate details to her cottage or country scenes. Creating a mosaic of her client’s home, cottage or other special place is Anja’s favourite project! With a background in interior design, she loves homes of all shapes and sizes.
Anja has been working in this captivating medium for over 20 years, which means that she has amassed a huge mountain of broken china and pottery. Due to her German background this is well organized by colour and pattern in her bright and cheery studio so she can always find that perfect shard. Her work brings her much pleasure and joy and she hopes this is passed on to whoever receives one of her special creations.

4 days of mosaic fun!! A couple of spots have become available for this super fun class!
I will be sharing my knowledge through inspiration, experimentation with different techniques and guidance with your personal project from design to execution. Try your hand at a variety of projects or work on a larger one that you’ve been dreaming about!
$450 includes most materials and tools as well as a lunch and visit to my home and studio.

Do you know a super talented and passionate high school aged artist who would like to be a part of Art Salad?
We are looking for someone who exhibits creativity as well as skill and talent in their chosen medium, and are open to any medium.
The young artist would exhibit at a special rate of $50 for the weekend in a supportive environment surrounded by knowledgeable, seasoned and kind artists!
