I’m Judy Sparkes, a ceramic artist whose work is deeply inspired by the community and nature around me, and the joy of sharing good food. I’m a firm believer that handmade pottery elevates the dining experience. There’s nothing quite like the feeling of nurturing relationships over a meal served in a lovingly crafted ceramic vessel. Each piece I create is everyday art—functional yet infused with a touch of my soul.

My journey with clay began over 40 years ago, and it was love at first touch. There’s magic in molding raw earth into something that will hold more than nourishing, delicious food. My vessels also hold stories, memories, and the warmth of human connection.

When I’m not getting my hands dirty in the studio, you will find me judging orchids with the American Orchid Society or cozying up with a good knit project. I also whip up a mean sourdough loaf, which I love sharing with friends and family because, to me, sharing is caring.

In my practice, I’m continually exploring how art and life intersect, how a simple hand-thrown bowl can become a cherished part of daily rituals.
