Lately, I’ve been venturing into the woods with my boys, and it’s been magical. 💫

We stumbled upon a cozy spot that they’ve claimed as their own, where we’ve been busy building teepees, crafting little log cabins, making fires, and indulging in classic campfire treats like wieners and marshmallows. What started as a space for them has turned into something profound for me.

Being immersed in nature has awakened a realization about our modern lifestyles. This post is not about judgment but about introspection and a gentle nudge to reevaluate our priorities. We’ve drifted so far from our roots as a society, consumed by digital distractions and the pursuit of validation through likes and followers.

Nature reminds us of our inherent connection to the world around us, something we’ve overlooked in our quest for virtual acclaim. It’s disheartening to see how we schedule mindfulness and meditation as if they are luxuries rather than necessities.

The presence of phones in the hands of our young ones underscores this shift. We inadvertently teach them that screens and apps hold the key to importance, perpetuating an illusion of perfection that none of us can ever attain. This digital realm can breed negativity, eroding the very fabric of genuine human connection.

Reflecting on this, I’m recalibrating my own priorities. While I’ll still be sharing updates about our farm, products, and exciting endeavors, I’m committing to being more present. It’s about leading by example and showing my children the value of real-world interactions over virtual distractions.

Our tea-lights got a makeover! We said goodbye to the polycarbonate cups and plastic in the packaging of our 100% beeswax tea lights.

And hello to just pure beeswax goodness in a reusable, biodegradable burlap bag —it’s all about reducing our eco footprint!

While polycarbonate cups are recyclable we know most end up in the garbage, so we’ve been working hard to find a solution.

Our beeswax tea lights now come with a reusable metal cup in every package. Just pop out the wick bottom and replace it with a new tealight after each use. Easy peasy!
