Jewellery: “part of a human desire for connection”

Connecting is an essential word in a jewellery studio. It’s an integral act. For instance, how to connect one element to another, put a gem onto a ring, a pearl on a post, link one link to the next in a chain, connect an earring on to the ear, a brooch secured to fabric, and connecting a design to a client. 

And overall, I think beneath the gestures of gifting, buying and wearing jewellery, it’s all so personal, it’s worn on our bodies….surely it’s part of a human desire for connection.
