“How amazing to eat from or drink from a work of art”

Check out what Brad Copping’s clients had to say about the beautiful work they found at the Apsley Studio Tour:

“The art I have in my home is carefully curated. I have been adding pieces throughout my life and have generally waited for work that I respond to, work that I know will provide ongoing joy when it is in my home and part of my daily life. Knowing the artist is an added bonus because it adds some context that further contributes to the story. Studio tours are a great opportunity to meet the artist and often to see where the art was created. I believe that most artists appreciate knowing that their work is going to be enjoyed and appreciated, that their creations go out into the world and add beauty, joy to people’s lives. Glass is a particularly beautiful medium because of the way light can affect it. I love moving the pieces that I have around the house to enjoy the different interactions with light in the house. I also use many of these pieces daily and think that the ability for art to also be functional is an added benefit. How amazing to eat from or drink from a work of art. That moment with a favourite sip of scotch or wine when it is from a beautiful glass is elevated. Daily treats like this make life so much richer. And when we are once again able to invite friends and family into our homes; the art in one’s home creates an environment that is uniquely you. And do we not invite people into our homes so that we can get to know them better?”   –  Michele

Brad’s glasswork is, in a word, extraordinary. His creativity and craftsmanship are unmatched in our opinion, and these candlesticks provide us enormous pleasure—definitely heirloom-quality work that we are proud to use and display in our home.  –  NG
