Glynis has been creating with sterling silver for many years. She finds the designing of jewellery pieces and the manipulation of metal as both challenging and fun.
Starting with a flat piece of metal or a length of wire allows for a wealth of possibilities.
After heating, bending, hammering, sawing, soldering and completing the final polishing stage, she finds it very satisfying to see a one-of-a-kind object become a wearable piece of art.
Having taken courses at Central Technical School, Harbour Front Craft & Design Studio and the Studio KW – school of metalsmithing the learning continues in her own studio.
