Textiles

Jillian Messervey is a Peterborough-based weaver, who loves slow, careful, and deliberate work. Inspired by colours and textures that she sees in nature, she uses natural fibres and traditional patterns to make hard-working and functional pieces that also decorate the home or wearer. Her blankets, scarves and towels are all woven by hand on her antique floor looms.

In addition to making, Jillian is a savvy fixer, moonlighting as an object conservator. She also teaches object conservation at a local college.
